Snoooooooop!

This week Snoop Dogg released a video for his remix of Rihanna's "California King Bed" which was released in November of last year on her Loud album.. The idea of Snoop Dogg, who is supposed to be one of the original gangstas, collaborating with someone like Rihanna is kinda funny to me. Like reallyyy guy?! You're supposed to be a gangsta! I have to admit though, I kinda like the song. It's a side of Snoop that not we don't get to see very often. The song is way out of his element which I think is upsetting to some people. One thing that he make sure to include in the video though was the use of half naked women and of course, drugs...I guess that's his idea of staying true to himself. In my opinion, this version is better than Rihanna's, but maybe that's cause I really don't care for her too much in general.
Below is the original version of the song performed by Rihanna.

  1. I disagree. I don't believe this is out of his element. In fact just the fact that he can put this song out and still have the same people liking him shows that he is a true artist that has to adapt to the industry around him.

  3. Haha, Ok you are missing the point. The fact is that all the rappers you see today in mainstream are not who they say they are. Snoop, just like everyone else, plays a part, but hes not shy about what or who he does what with. I mean remember his song and music video "Sexual Seduction"?? This really is no different.
